Colombo's nights are quietly civilised — rooftop bars, hotel jazz nights, and a small but considered cocktail scene. Try Cloud Red, Sky on 14, or the bar at the Galle Face Hotel.

Pick-up apps (PickMe, Uber) work reliably across the city. Tuk-tuks are useful for short hops; agree the fare or use a metered app first. The Bandaranaike International Airport is around 45–60 minutes from Galle Face by car.

December to March is the driest, busiest season. Cash is useful for smaller restaurants and markets. Dress modestly when visiting temples and mosques. Tip 10% in restaurants if service is not already added.
